Even though I was serving with SEONLINE yesterday and not in the sanctuary, I took the charge to pray and ask God to intersect my day with someone that needed Him. While my son and I were sitting at a stop light this morning, our lives crossed paths with a homeless man standing along an off-ramp of the expressway. Seeing him, my son and I both immediately knew that we were to offer him our breakfast and change. While handing him the items, I asked him his name and if he knew Jesus. Eric replied, “I know Jesus, but I’ve distanced myself from Him in recent years.” I responded by saying, “Eric, do you want to hear some good news? Jesus hasn’t distanced Himself from you. He’s with you right now and He loves you.” As the light turned green, I told Eric that I would be praying for him and he smiled wide and thanked me. I’ll be praying for Eric and keep my open for the next time I can continue our conversation about Jesus.
