God wants to use each of us in a great way, but it sometimes won't feel like he's using us to accomplish much. When God was using Joseph in a great way, it felt like stay in jail for a while. It felt like doing the work of administration for fourteen years in Egypt. It felt like do the hard work of forgiveness because most of the time destined doesn't feel like it. Great things can happen if we do our duty and serve day in and day out. So often when we become Christians, we want the Christian life to feel like we're doing amazing and earth-shattering things for the Kingdom every moment of every day, but you're going to be sorely disappointed along the way if you think this way because walking in what God has destined you for often doesn’t necessarily feel big or grand.
Take some time to think and pray about if God has destined you to serve in such a time as this; to seek and save the lost by serving them as this is a key to living out God's plan. If we all do that, think about what could happen. We could see the day where every single one of us is being discipled by someone and is discipling someone else. We could see the day where you get in the baptism waters with that one person you're praying for, have them say the good confession, and have the joy of hugging them after you baptize them.
Reflection/Discussion Question: What is a way you've seen God accomplish great things in your life through the simple and everyday tasks of life?
