A part of our story is so much “one at a time” living. While I love reading everyone’s stories I don’t like telling ours…mine. I want to tell the other peoples’ stories, because I know how God has grown me through my own. When I share mine it feels like bragging even though it’s all Jesus’ doing: He whispers. He directs. He puts people in my path. But we have chosen to live this way for years, He taught us this through our own neediness and His great benevolence. I could tell pages of books of stories of how He has put people in our path (and, sadly, the times I passed by, then felt convicted and turned around, only to find them gone! Angels? A test?). So trust me that they are done, challenges completed, lessons learned, being inspired, but I can’t share them here. He knows. The body is growing. We are growing, maturing. Let’s just keep doing it! Let it become a second nature! A knee jerk response, to love and serve and BE His hands and feet and wallet…even when we don’t need to tell about it.

You are reading my mind. IT DOES feel like bragging and that is how we can best share the love of Christ and brag on His kindness. Keep up the good work and people will glorify God for it.

I felt the same way. I have not posted my story because I worried about sounding prideful.

I felt the same way but then after reading other peoples stories… I was lifted and inspired… touched. So then I thought people do need to hear these stories, we just need to be mindful that Christ is using us and working through us and that it isn’t for our glory but for his!

I have the same feeling. I shared my story but wanted to get my reward in heaven. Thank you

I love getting ideas from others. I feel armed to go out and pass it on to my circle.

I think it helps each of us learn of the various ways GOD uses each of us; and it does not need to be through money, or “stuff” but how will we learn if we do not share? GOD is able to sift pride, but I guess what you are saying is we are not able to.
